Extra fees: late cancellation and late payment

Besides the court cost, a group can decide on a few extra fees meant to encourage punctuality. The late cancellation fee and the late payment fee are off by default — the admin turns on only the ones they need.

Late cancellation fee

You turn it on with the “Charge a fee for late cancellation” setting. The fee has two tiers: when a player withdraws within the “Fee window” (by default 24 hours before the session), they pay the first-tier rate, and when they withdraw within the “Higher-fee window” (by default 2 hours before), they pay the second-tier rate, usually higher. Cancelling earlier is free. You set separate amounts for weekdays and for weekends, because a Saturday court often costs more. The hours are counted from the start of the session.

If you enable waiving the fee when a replacement is found before the session starts, a player whose spot is taken by someone else won't pay anything. All amounts are set to 0 zł by default.

Late payment fee

The second option is “Charge a fee for late payment”. If, after the session is settled, the payment isn't confirmed within the set time, a fee is added to the payment — by default 2 zł after 12 hours and 4 zł after 24 hours (the hours and amounts can be changed). The second tier replaces the first, rather than adding to it. The person designated as the penalty recipient can waive such a fee.

Block for overdue payments

For overdue payments there is also a block: when a payment is unpaid, or declared but unconfirmed, for longer than the set threshold (by default 14 days from the session's settlement), the player can't sign up for further sessions or create them. The block disappears automatically once the payment is confirmed, and an admin can also unblock the player manually. Before that, the player gets a reminder about the overdue payment (by default after 5 days).

No-card surcharge

In the “Equal split + no-card surcharge” billing mode, people without a sports card pay a surcharge for every full half hour of play (by default 3 zł). An admin can exempt chosen members from this surcharge. We describe the modes in detail in the article sports cards in settlements.

The late cancellation fee and the late payment fee are available from the Regular plan. You can read about absences in the article penalties for no-shows. Create a group — 14 days free, no card required.

Frequently asked questions

Are the fees on by default?

No. The late cancellation fee and the late payment fee are off by default, and charging them is available from the Regular plan. An admin turns them on in the group settings.

Is the late cancellation fee charged if I find a replacement?

Not if the admin has enabled waiving the fee when a replacement is found before the session starts.

When will I be blocked for an overdue payment?

When you have a payment that is unpaid or unconfirmed for longer than the threshold set in the group (by default 14 days from the session's settlement).

How do I get unblocked?

Automatically, when the cashier confirms the overdue payment. An admin can also unblock the player manually.

Does the block take away admin permissions?

No — a blocked admin still manages the group, but can't sign up for sessions or create them themselves.
