B-Admin-Time

Notifications and Announcements for Groups

A group chat has one flaw as a notification channel: every message goes to everyone, even when it concerns one person. B-Admin-Time splits this into two separate channels — private notifications and admin announcements — with an optional Telegram link for both.

Private push notifications

Events that concern a specific person — a spot freed up from the waitlist, a changed session time, a payment confirmation, the result of the sign-up lottery — arrive as a push straight to them (phone or browser), without involving the admin and without telling the rest of the group. A separate category is the reminder right before a session — each player sets its timing individually.

Bad weather alerts

A group playing on outdoor courts can get a warning before the rain washes the game out. When a slot’s forecast shows a thunderstorm, heavy rain, snow, strong wind or cold, the admins (or only the session creator) get a suggestion to cancel — two days before the game by default, once per session, plus a short note if the forecast improves. Your group sets what counts as bad weather and when the alert goes out, and each admin can turn it off for themselves. When a game is cancelled, players get a notification saying why.

Admin announcements

When information concerns the whole group (a venue change, a canceled session, an important notice), the admin publishes an announcement — a controlled channel that only the admin can post to. It’s different from an open group chat: an announcement doesn’t get lost in idle conversation, because nobody but the admin writes there.

Optional: Telegram

For people who’d rather get notifications and announcements on Telegram instead of (or alongside) push in the app, you can link your Telegram account — no need to create a group or channel, just one connection in your profile settings.

Notifications complement sign-ups and the waitlist. See also the full pricing.

“Notifications sent while sign-ups are open, with a direct link to the sign-up page, let people sign up for a game in just a few moments.”
— Renata, admin of a group of about 40 players that has used B-Admin-Time for over 2 months
“I value the notifications most — especially the ones that keep players up to date on the time of a planned game.”

Frequently asked questions

How are announcements different from a regular group chat?

Only an admin can send an announcement — it’s a controlled information channel, not an open conversation where an important message gets buried among others.

Which events send a private notification?

Among others: a spot freed up on the waitlist, a changed session time or venue, a payment confirmation, the result of the sign-up lottery — always only to the person it concerns.

Do I need a Telegram account?

No — notifications and announcements work in the app (push on your phone and in the browser) with no extra setup. Telegram is an optional extra channel for people who’d rather get them there.

Which plan includes the Telegram integration?

Basic push notifications and announcements are on every plan. The Telegram integration requires the Regular plan or higher.
